I began working in clay in New York City in the early 80’s, learning from fellow
potters in a cooperative studio. Since moving to California I have participated in workshops at Mendocino Art Center with Alleghany Meadows, studied pit-firing techniques with Molly Prier, and porcelain throwing at Penland Crafts School with Angela Fina. Since 2003 I have been exploring the possibilities in wood firing at Richard Carter’s anagama kiln in Pope Valley.
Since 1992 I have sold my work through several
shops in Marin County, at Bay Area art festivals, and from
my studio in Bolinas. My work has also been shown in galleries
and is in private collections across the country.
